I will be in Seattle the first week of April to visit friends from all parts of my past (high school, gap year, college, travels), even though I have yet to visit Washington in my life. This geographical location lights up my "Moon/IC" Line on my personal astrocartography map. The first time I visited this line was in October of last year, when I visited a childhood friend in Portland, Oregon. What I experienced relating to the moon line is that it's a place that generally feels like home: the connections you make here feel like family, even with strangers, and that promotes a sense of belonging and community, even in a new place. An anecdote: after a full day walking with a new friend in the city, I developed a toe injury and locals in a famous book shop were more than happy to help. They were wonderful! And near Eugene at a woodland hot spring: I was fast friends with the locals there. How could you not, in such a healing and intimate environment? This is the influence of the moon. If your moon line is paired with your "IC" (Imum Coeli, Latin for "bottom of the sky" located at the bottom of your birth chart) which indicates your early life and upbringing: than the line can bring up relational patterns that you may have created with your family of origin - namely, your mother, as the mother archetype is represented by the moon. If you visit these lines, be prepared to visit your past. The qualities these two lines bring are great for therapeutic purposes and you are likely to find nurturing experiences or practitioners of the healing arts. Fun Fact: My flight landed on my Scorpio moon line on the Scorpio new moon eclipse last year - and I left Portland on the Taurus full moon eclipse. It was such a powerful, purposeful experience overall. Have you explored your astrocartography map? What is astrocartography?Astrocartography is the astrology of place, your birth map stretched across the geography of the globe, a representation of where the planets were in relation to the earth at your time of birth. Just like the natal chart is a map to our life, purpose and all parts of our psyche, astro-mapping is the manifestation of these various parts at specific threads of landscape.
